Something Girl by Beth Goobie

I think that everyone should read the book Something Girl by Beth Goobie. It is a shocking story about a girl named Sophie that lives with her mother and father, but her father beats her. After every beating Sophie cowers either in her room just waiting for her father to come in and continue beating her or she runs off to a fort she built with her best friend Jujubee. I think that people of all sorts would like this book because it keeps you entertained.

On a scale of 1 being the worst to 10 being the best i would rate it a 9.5

Rules for Posting A Book Review:

Team I students are invited to submit a review of a book they have recently read by e-mailing it to a Team I Teacher. You may also add a picture of the book if you would like to add it to the review. You probably can find a picture of the book on amazon.com

You can have the extra credit applied to any class on the team.

You will only receive extra credit if you have no missing assignments in that class.

Review must include the title and author of the book.

Review needs to be a between 75 and 150 words.

Review must include a rating of the book between 1 and 10. 1 is awful and 10 is great.

Full name of student must be included on the review sent to a Team I Teacher but will only use the first name when posted on the blog.

Once the review is posted the student will earn 10% extra credit added to the next unit test. Student can do this twice a semester.

For extra credit in Mr. Roberts class the book needs to be Historical Fiction(untrue story about a historical event) or Historical Non-Fiction (a true story about a historical event)

A student cannot submit more than 1 review for extra credit in a 2 week period.
