Meet Molly By: Valerie Tripp

Meet Molly By: Valerie Tripp

Molly is nine years old. her dad is a doctor in the war. Every once in a while Molly's dad would send letters to them but couldn't say where he was or has been. Molly's housekeeper, Mrs. Gilford, planted a victory garden in the yard. Molly and Linda and Susan (molly's friends) decided to be hula dancers for Halloween. When the girls were walking back up the driveway Ricky (molly's brother) sprayed them with a hose as a trick. Ricky had to give the girls his candy and could only keep one candy. The girls were deciding on what to do to get back at him. While Linda distracted Ricky, Molly and Susan grabbed his dirty cloths and put them in bags. Susan ran to get Jill (molly's sister) and Dolores (Jill's friend) to go outside. when they were walking down the driveway they got cloths dumped on them. At the back of the book they talk about WWI in the 1940's. Which I thought was very interesting.

On a scale 1 to 10; I give this book a rating of: 7
